A signing ceremony was held in dhaka, capital of Bangladesh on Thursday for the Bangladesh elevated expressway project, which is operated by Chinese and Thai companies.


The project is invested, constructed and operated by shandong foreign economic and technical cooperation group co., LTD., a subsidiary of shandong high-speed group, in cooperation with sinohydro international engineering co., LTD., and a Thai company.


According to the introduction, the proposed Bangladesh dhaka international airport elevated expressway project has a total length of nearly 20 kilometers. It is a two-way four-lane expressway with a north-south direction. It connects chittagong highway from the airport to the southern part of dhaka through the old business district of dhaka. The total investment of the project is us $1.263 billion.


After the completion of the project, the travel time of local residents will be greatly reduced, traffic congestion in dhaka urban area will be alleviated and local economic development will be promoted, which is of great significance to the construction of bcim economic corridor.
